Catlale’s Books and Gifts in Downtown Brainerd will host three authors on Saturday, November 30 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.. The event features authors Julie Jo Larson, Jan D. Payne, and Laura Hern. All three authors currently live in Minnesota and write a variety of genres, something for everyone on your Christmas list. Patrons can get a card stamped by each author for entry into a door prize. Larson is the author of “100 Things to do in Minnesota Northwoods Before you Die” and “100 Things to do in Minnesota Before You Die”. Payne is the author of “Rabbit Moon” a mystery thriller set on the Navajo Indian Reservation where the author grew up. Hern is the author of suspense filled ‘who-dun-it’ quirky cozy mysteries and heart tugging contemporary romance novels including her “Lainey Maynard Mystery Series.”

Small Business Saturday is an annual shopping event, taking place on the Saturday after Thanksgiving to promote locally owned small businesses.
