Deborah Swenson is an award-winning author of Western romance and historical fiction whose stories blend adventure, romance, and the enduring spirit of the American frontier. A lifelong admirer of classic Westerns, she developed her love for the genre while watching Western films with her father, an influence that continues to shape her storytelling today.

Born in New England and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Swenson writes from her home on an island in the Pacific Northwest, where stunning mountain and waterfront landscapes provide inspiration for her work. Before pursuing fiction full-time, she enjoyed a successful career in health care, authoring a technical nursing manual, contributing to nursing textbooks, serving on an editorial advisory board for a nurse practitioner magazine, and writing numerous educational articles.

She is the author of the acclaimed Desert Hills Trilogy, including Till My Last Breath and Till My Last Day. Her work has earned multiple honors, including first-place recognition in the CIBA Chatelaine Book Awards for Romantic Fiction and numerous accolades celebrating both her storytelling and book design.

A member of Women Writing the West and other writing organizations, Deborah enjoys quilting, spinning fiber, photography, and curling up with a good Western romance and a hot cup of tea. Through her novels, she continues to captivate readers with stories of love, resilience, and second chances set against the timeless backdrop of the American West.
