MI0002147116Blue Cottage Agency is proud to announce the publication agreement of  Hello, I’m Johnny Cash! How the Man in Black Changed America One Song at a Time, 1969-1971, working title of author Stuart Rosebrook’s latest book being published by Heritage Builders Publishing of California spring of 2017.

From 1969 to 1971, the Johnny Cash Show deeply inspired America—and the world—with the voices of singer-songwriter-poets as Cash’s guests on his show. Through his music and the music of a who’s-who of the most famous—and soon to be famous bluegrass, blues, country, folk and rock musicians from America, Canada and Great Britain—black and white, male and female—Cash changed how America listened to music. Cash hoped to make every day life better for all of us through his music. And for three short years from Nashville, Cash helped change America one song at a time.

This book will biographically, episode by episode, tell the story of how Cash and The Johnny Cash Show were part of a musical movement that changed the world’s perception of music through integration in their studios and recordings.

The book will include numerous photographs and illustrations as well as  new interviews by the author of the men and women, singers, songwriters, family members, executives, crew members and associated residents of Nashville during the making the television series.

Look forward to the release of this book in 2017!

Some Nice Words

“When I needed a publicist to help promote my book, The Lily of the West, I found there were quite a few available, but upon discovering the highly recommended  Krista Rolfzen Soukup and Blue Cottage Agency, there was no need to look further. Krista is reliable, creative, ethical and well connected. She personifies that elusive quality of being a straight-shooter who is kind and non-judgmental. She’s been a tremendous help to me and I can’t recommend her highly enough. Simply the best.”
