Learn to promote your work through author branding, Internet presence, and social media. Investigate ways to incorporate marketing into your busy writing schedule. The presenter, a literary publicist and owner of Blue Cottage Agency, will share proven methods of promotion, book launches, book signings, event planning, press releases and general tips to highlight your writing career.

Joe Paddock, a poet, oral historian, and a creative writing professor, will be this year’s keynote speaker. He is an award-winning author, who won the Loft/McKnight Writer of Distinction Award and the Milkweed Editions Lakes and Prairies Award. He is the author of A Sort of Honey, Keeper of the Wild, Boar’s Dance, Handful of Thunder, Earth Tongues. He is married to Nancy Paddock, a poet and playwright. They are co-authors of Soil and Survival. In addition to being the keynote speaker, he and Nancy will present workshops at the conference.

How to Register for the Conference
Registrations for the 5th Annual Writers Conference will be accepted between August 1, 2013 and September 27th. To register for the conference, click and complete the form at this link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1aeGXw23en22AiBHnrcZOue4zrhwoabgt0nw8ykMvQPo/viewform.
Registrations after September 27th will be on site and cost $65. Refunds are not available after September 27th.
